Medals, munchies, and miscellaneous matters...

Timetable

Arrive...
any time between 8.30 and 9.30. The earlier the better... it takes a while for over a hundred kids to take off their coats, locate their section, and get their name-tags.

If you are late, try to sneak in quietly.

Welcome speech and instructions
9.40 at the latest, earlier if we can get to it. We all want to start playing chess.

Games start...
9.50 at the latest

Lunch
After 4 or 5 games The scorekeepers will tell the players when to go for lunch.

Last game...
...will be called at 1.25. After the games being played then are finished...

Time for medals...
...not later than 1.45, earlier if we can. The scorekeepers figure out who has won what, and while they are doing that the kids set up the chess sets.

NO MEDALS TILL THE SETS ARE BAGGED

I'm not going to be the one bagging up 80 chess sets!

Home time...
The kids should be ready to leave...2.00, or 2.15 at the latest

Medals
Because of draws (ties), we could have multiple players tied for medals at the end of the day. Medals go to the 1st player, 2nd player, and 3rd player (and ties with the 3rd player).

Please note: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd PLAYERS, not "score groups".
