Awards for schools The top elementary school will receive an annual trophy, to be held for one year. The top three elementary schools each receive a pennant to hang in their gym (or chess room). (The pennants will say "2012") (you knew that, of course) So, what's a "top school"? After the tournament, we add up the scores of the top ten players from each school. Because different grades might play different numbers of games, we actually use a percentage. Ties are broken by the score of the 11th players, if necessary.
