8-game chess tournament for elementary school students.
Participants play only against others in the same grade |

| When: |
Monday, February 27th, or Tuesday, February 28th. 9.45 am till about 2.00 pm.
Choose which day for your school when you register. |

| Where: |
Ciociaro Club, 3745 North Talbot Road, Oldcastle |

| Cost: |
$10 per player |

| Prizes: |
Gold medal for a score of 8 points (or first in your group)
Silver medal for second in your group
Bronze medal for third in your group
Every player gets an individual pennant as a participation award
Scoring: 1 point for a win, a half point for a draw or unplayed
game
Gold and Silver medal winners at the Chess Challenge qualify for the playoffs.
Winners at the playoffs are invited to play in the Ontario Youth Chess Championships

This is an all-day event. Snack bars will be open, or players can bring a lunch. |
